CORE Mission and Strategy

Mission statement: CORE is dedicated to understanding and optimally managing the chronic disease of obesity and measuring the effects of weight loss on health, quality of life and survival.

The strategic plan of CORE is to grow to become the premier Australian centre for obesity research and education, and a leading centre internationally, through undertaking research and educational activities that address the causes, consequences and treatments of obesity.

CORE differentiates itself by applying a multidisciplinary approach to the study and management of obesity via integrating strengths in epidemiology, public health, basic science, clinical research and therapy, and professional and community education.
